INTRODUCTION

We are Team 1108! Team 1108 is a robotics team apart of FRC (First Robotics Competition) made by F.I.R.S.T. (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology.) We make cool robots, participate in community events, and most important have fun!

IMPACT

The Impact sub-team is a group of dedicated students who put together our submission for the Impact Award, the most prestigious award in FIRST. The award honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the purpose and goals of FIRST. Students on this sub-team will work together to create an essay and executive summary as well as organize information about the team and prepare that information for presenting to judges.

BUSINESS & MEDIA

Business & Media are two branches of the same tree in the sense of them being tied together. Business and Media often go together within the team such as media being our social media accounts and website which business uses to do what they do best. We work on business opportunities and put ourselves out there for people to find.

ROBOT DESIGN

Design is an important part of the team. We do not only design parts for the robot we design parts for most of our projects we work on such as: The Yearly Dog Park Project, MISC bots like canbot our can crusher, and much more!

ROBOT BUILD

Build team is one of the most populated teams on 1108 we carryout each design and make the dream become a reality. We use many machines and tools to make our own custom parts. Some machines include: lathe, band saws, drill press, sander, and more! We work together in groups to get perspective on pieces and have very lovely mentors that will teach you anything you need to know.

Drive Team

L. O. V. E. we love our drive team! Drive team is a group of generally 5-6 people with Driver, Opperator, Coach, Field Technician, Cart person, and Human Player! These roles are all important roles when we are at competition with driver driving, opperator controlling the robot’s functional parts, coach giving the driver and Opperator another set of eyes and also giving times, Field technician being our person to fix the robot if there is an issue before starting a match, cart person pushing the robot cart, and Human Player who plays in the game by either throwing stuff pressing buttons or giving stuff to the robot to place somewhere.
